Here are the steps that you need to take to save your marriage.
1. Stop arguing. Get into the habit of letting things roll off your back. Imagine it like a ducks back to water, just shake it off. Arguments are like a game of tennis, it only takes one person to put down the racket and the game is off. Your partner will pick up on it and they will stop arguing too.
But what if I am right?
If they think its blue, and you think it is a cool green, so what? In your mind think "Well I think its a cool green, but it can be blue!" It's a small thing, you do not have to be right all the time. Don't waste energy arguing, it's worth it to save your marriage.
2. The second thing is, start dating again. With each other! Remember when you started, everything was new and fresh and exciting? Back to where you spend a night and do something different. Plan to do something of a surprise for your partner (make sure it can happen if needed), need not be expensive or extravagant. Just something different in terms of size.
3. Love your partner. But they want to be loved. You can also ask what it means for them, where they toldare loved, or little gestures of affection, or just doing things for them? When you know, that is the best way to love your partner. Because you can spend an hour showing them you love them the way you want to be loved, but if you do one thing for a few seconds the way they want to be loved, it will mean much more to them.
4. Be affectionate. Sex and affection are two different things, both are important. A kiss hello and a kiss goodbye do not cost anything, but they show your partner affection, that they are cared for and appreciated. This is the way to save your marriage.
